In Madrid, eating is rarely just functional, it’s a deeply social, shared ritual rooted in centuries of urban life. The culture revolves around being together in shared spaces, often Plazas where food, conversation, and daily life naturally overlap. In collaboration with local design firm Studio MADD, Studio Jelo curated the scheme below for the Client.

Similar to the Plaza, the canteen space will offer a platform for eating, socialising and working or simply taking a pause. The space will be defined by durable stone surfaces, warm natural materials, and subtle detailing, creating a timeless, lived-in setting for everyday social life.
